fist About Komayaka Karate Club fist
Komayaka (Meaning friendly) Karate Club, is a not for profit martial arts club run by Chief Instructor Garry Lewis 6th Dan with Assistant Instructors Mike Wilde 5th Dan and Duwain Chase 4th Dan.
Our aim is to provide the best instruction in the traditional art of Shukokai karate and give all our students a fun and enjoyable environment to train in.

Lessons are run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings - 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Classes are for anyone above the age of seven. Both classes currently have a mixed ability level of students (from white to brown belts), and the club also has a varied mix of male and female students of mixed age groups. Costs are a yearly £20 registration/membership fee and a flat fee of £4 per lesson.

We promote families training together and regularly bring top Instructors from our association (At no extra cost) to come and expand our students knowledge of Karate. Our club is a member of the United Kingdom All Styles Karate Organisation. All instructors have professional indemnity insurance and have been Enhanced CRB checked.

We welcome anyone interested first to come and watch a session and see if it's for them. No Karate Gi is required until a student's first grading
